Victor B. King

Victor B. King, age 62, of Philadelphia, rode into his final sunset on Sunday February 2, 2020.

Known to all his clients as a meticulous residential painter, Vic took great pride in “making his clients happy” with his detailed wood and drywall work, and his talent for mixing custom colors that transformed the look and feel of their homes. To his friends, Vic was a fishing partner, train enthusiast, competitive cowboy action shooter, motorcyclist, hunter, boater and so much more. To his neighbors, Vic was a man who took great pride in his home and his family. To his family, Vic was adventurous, spontaneous, and committed. He was a man who lived life to the fullest and encouraged others to do the same. Victor’s mental fortitude and sense of humor was an inspiration to all who knew and cared for him.

Victor was the devoted husband of Lori King (nee Ott); proud father of Christina Marie, Kimberly Anne and Brian Christopher; loving son of Theresa King and nephew of Charlotte (Kyran) Connelly; younger brother of Jeanette (Ed) Pentecost and caring uncle of Taryn (Kenneth) McLaughlin and Tierney Pentecost.

After a private service at 1 o’clock, the King family would be honored to have you join them in the State Room of the Delaware Valley Cremation Center from 1:45 – 5 pm on Sunday, February 16th for a gathering to honor and celebrate Victor’s life. Light food and refreshments will be available. A memorial tribute will start at 3 pm. Victor’s family will be accessible before and after the tribute to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support. Additionally, there will be a private booth to make a video recorded message to the family as well as a chalkboard to draw or script your favorite memories, so please bring your favorite Victor B. King story.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that any donations in Victor’s name be sent to either The ALS Association Greater Philadelphia Chapter or to Bridging Voice, a nonprofit with the mission to “allow no diagnosis to rob an individual of their ability to connect and communicate”. Both organizations have lifted them up, guided them, and held their hands literally and figuratively throughout their journey with ALS.
