Samuel “Sammy” Alimonti Jr., passed away peacefully in Jefferson Hospital on 1/24/2015 in Philadelphia, PA from a short battle with acute myeloid leukemia at the age of 66.
Sam is survived by his family; wife Mary, and daughter Angel in Bensalem, daughter Lisa, and husband Eric in Croydon, son Michael and wife Dawn in Bristol, and sister Susan and husband John in Croydon. He is preceded in death by parents Samuel Sr., and Irene, of Philadelphia.
Sam was born on August 10, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA to Samuel and Renee. He graduated from Bishop Egan in June 1967, then joined and proudly served in the Navy until 1969. He then married Mary Reardon on March 13, 1971, and after moving to Bensalem in 1978, he became a Journeyman and began working for the Philadelphia Naval Yard.
