Ryan J. Dougherty passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 10th, 2017. He was 33.

Ryan was a lifelong resident of Northeast Philadelphia but most recently resided in Abington. He was a 2001 Graduate of Father Judge High School where he was on the crew team. Ryan was a very hard worker that loved to cook, was a huge Philadelphia Eagles Fan and his most favorite past time was spending time in Wildwood, NJ with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father James (Doc), paternal grandfather James Sr & maternal grandparents Alexander and Nancy Jankowski.

Ryan is the beloved son of Theresa & the late James. The loving brother of Caitlin & Patrick and a devoted Uncle to Sean, James & Julia. Also survived by his paternal grandmother Mary Dougherty, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and his long time girlfriend Katelyn Brown & loyal canine Harley.

Ryan was such a giving person that always put others before himself and even in death thru the gift of life. It was Ryan’s wish to become an organ donor. He was taken away from us way too soon but was able to help save 3 lives with the gift of organ donation. We love you so much Ryan and will miss you more than words can say. Rest Easy…….

Family and friends are invited to attend Ryan’s graveside service on Saturday, January 21st promptly at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery located at 5201 Hulmeville Rd. Bensalem, PA. 19020. Please park in front of the ‘Family Service Center’ near the entrance of cemetery, where we will wait in our cars and from there we will be escorted to the Dougherty Family Plot.
