Robert F. Moffitt

“Bobby”
Age: 58 formerly of Philadelphia & Warminster, PA and Naples, FL

Passed away August 2, 2020 after a long, hard fought illness.

Robert was the son of the late Barbara A Mullen and Francis J. Moffitt. He is preceded in death by his siblings, Patricia Tompkins and Donald Moffitt.

Robert was the adoring father of Shane and Robert Moffitt Jr.; loving brother of Cynthia & Michael Moffitt; cherished uncle of Kevin (Sandra) Brown, Susan (Rick) Lorenzon, Mark Brown, Jacob & Leah Moffitt. Robert will be also be sorely missed by his little people: Ricky, Hailey, Kelly & Samantha Lorenzon and Caelyn & Erin Brown. Patricia Hohnstock, Bobby’s roommate & longtime friend, will also miss him dearly.

Professionally, Bobby was fascinated by and talented in the ever-growing electronics field for all of his life. He was blessed with the opportunity to contribute and leave his mark on the construction of many of the latest, state of the art homes and high-rise condominiums in Pennsylvania and Florida.

He was a “Simple Kind of Man” who loved people and music. His outgoing personality and wonderful sense of humor enabled him to make friends easily, everywhere he went. He also enjoyed helping others. He was multi-talented and always ready, willing, and able to help, especially in crisis. When he wasn’t working, he loved playing his guitar. Music was an escape for Bobby especially when he became ill and unable to do much else.

Bobby was a family man. He loved his family, most of all his children. Though separated by miles, they were always on his mind. Bobby cherished family gatherings, holidays and really enjoyed every minute he spent with his little people.

We thank you for all the outpouring of love and support our family has received. Bobby’s service and interment will be private. Information regarding plans for a celebration of his life will be forthcoming when restrictions from Covid19 are lifted.

Additionally, the Moffitt family would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the nurses and staff at VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit! The excellent love and care they showered Bobby with during his various stays are deeply appreciated.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit.

We all loved Bobby. We will miss his presence in our lives but hold tightly onto our precious memories.
