Raymond D. Steele, Jr.

Raymond David Steele, Jr. passed away on Saturday March 4, 2017 at the age of 68. Born in Newark, NJ to Raymond and Gertrude (Allgier) Steele he lived most of his life in New Jersey.

Ray was a veteran of the Vietnam War and always had profound respect for the military and veterans of all wars. He was a unique person with a wonderful sense of humor and a kind heart. Ray loved to travel and enjoyed many trips with his family and friends. He had a passion for cooking and he delighted in preparing wonderful meals to share with loved ones. Ray was an avid sports fan who closely followed the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Orioles. He also loved the annual Army Navy game and would often make the trip to cheer on his Army squad. Ray enjoyed gathering with friends for bowling, or game nights, and was particularly fond of trivia. He was extremely proud of his grandchildren and loved to shower them with attention every chance he could get. No matter where he was- Ray always had a smile on his face, was quick to lend a hand, and would give you a big hug as he left.
