Millie Jean Mason

January 11, 1944 to January 20, 2021

Millie Jean Mason (nee Brennan) 77 years old of Philadelphia passed away on Wednesday January 20 2021. Born in Clymer, PA, on January 11, 1944 to Charles Brennan and Mary (Stern) Brennan. Millie lived and worked in Philadelphia, PA for Aria Hospital until retirement.

Millie was the light of our lives, generous, giving, kind, and caring are just several words that describe her well. Endlessly devoted to her husband, family, and friends.  She enjoyed travel, family gatherings, and cooking for everyone. No one went home hungry or left empty handed. Millie loved knitting baby blankets, Christmas stockings and other beautiful creations for family and friends to cherish forever.  If Millie wasn’t at home you could find her shopping or at her favorite place Parx Casino with her best friend of 68 years, Floss Mason.  Her excitement and enthusiasm for life will be missed by all.  Her spirit will live forever in our hearts. She saw the beauty of life and felt the love from everyone and everything. We know she is with God shining her amazing light upon us all.

Millie is survived by her beloved husband Gerald “Jerry” Mason of 55 years, as well as her loving children, Pauline Canelli, her partner Michael, Mary Mason, Gerald Mason and his wife Shannon, and Sherri Pena. Millie is also survived by her brother Charles Brennan and her sisters Erma Czyrny, and Nancy Dabrow. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Cory Pio, Gabriella Mangano and her husband Peter, Michelle Pio, Alexa Canelli and her fiancée Andrew Antczak, Cheyenne Mason, Brittney Daniluk, Olivia Canelli and her partner Robert Schlauer, Sarah Pena and Rachel Pena, as well as her cherished great grandchildren, Brennan McKeown, Brooklyn Pio, Jackson Pio, and Landon Schlauer. She leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved siblings, Phyllis Mowbray, and James Brennan.

In order to celebrate her life with family and friends that she loved unconditionally, an observance for Millie will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made in Millie’s name to Shriners Hospital for Children would be greatly appreciated.
