Martin “Marty” Rizzo passed away on January 16, 2020 at the age of 61. Marty grew up, worked and lived in Northeast Philadelphia. Marty was a member of the Atomic Workers Union. His skills were as a systems operator spent in chemical plants. Marty spent over 30 years at the Northeast plant of Sunoco and Honeywell. Marty’s passion was music. There was nothing better than playing the guitar with friends and his church family. Marty was known as a jokester-he had a dry sense of humor and always had people laughing. Marty loved spending his downtime time with his wife, son and dogs at the Jersey shore. His personality and passion for life made anyone that came in contact with smile and laugh.
Beloved husband of the late Donna Rizzo; Loving father of Matthew Rizzo; Marty was the cherished son of Marianna and the late Theodore Rizzo and the brother of Daniel (Bonita) Rizzo, Steven (Sharon) Rizzo, Theodore (Ana) Rizzo, Tina Rizzo, Donna (George) Crossman and the late David Rizzo.
He was also survived by and will be missed by his brother-in-law and sister-in-laws, many nieces and nephews and his beloved dogs, Jada and Freya Rizzo.
