Marian Macomber (Nee Shields) was born to her late parents Edith Mullen and Thomas Shields in Philadelphia, Pa. on June 1st 1940. Marian passed away peacefully on July 10th 2021 at the age of 81. Loving Mother, of James, Marion, Barbara, and Harry. Devoted wife of the late Henry Macomber. Treasured Grandmother of Barbara, Daniel, Stephen, Craig, Amy and Jessica. Cherished Great Grandmother of Ava, Bailey, Madison, Mason, Christopher, Lilly and McKenzie, as well as loving Sister to her brother Steve Shields.
Marian, was a faithful viewer of Soap operas, game shows and the Voice, as well as American Idol. She grew fond of Cape May County, New Jersey on her many visits and decided to become a full-time resident of the Villas. She loved the boardwalk, sitting on the beach and going out to restaurants. She enjoyed going to concerts of her favorite singers with her daughters. Marian also frequented the Casinos where she enjoyed playing the slots and spending the night (she even won a few times)
Marian was a loving, giving and nurturing woman to all her family, peers and all whom she cared about. She was everyone’s best friend and will be extremely missed by her Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, coworkers and anyone blessed to know her! Please join the Macomber family as we reluctantly say our goodbyes (until we meet again) on Saturday, July 17th 2021 from 3pm to 7pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, Pa. 19136 for an honoring and celebration of Marian’s life. Marian left a large footprint and her absence will be felt forever!
