Lourdes C. Rubio, 83, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018, after a long illness. Lourdes was born on February 22, 1935 in Basco, Batanes in the Philippines to Gil and Catalina Castillejos. She married Solomon Rubio and raised two daughters and a son. Lourdes and family moved to the United States in 1986 and set roots in Philadelphia.
She was beloved by friends and family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend – a selfless being to anyone who needed help, comfort, and love. She was a beautiful woman matched only by her equally beautiful soul. She will be sorely missed.

Lourdes is survived by her husband Solomon, daughters Rhiza and Rica, son Raffy, and sister Carmen.
Please join the Rubio family after 6:00 pm, Thursday, December 27 at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136 where Lourdes’ viewing will take place from 6 to 9 PM. Interment will be held 3:00 pm, Friday, December 28 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA.
