Age: 78 of Claymont, DE

Passed away October 11, 2018 surrounded by his family. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many and was always available to help anyone in need.

Joe lived in Philly most of his life and eventually moved to Delaware with his wife and three children. He served as a United States Marine before entering law enforcement. He was a Police Lieutenant with the Philadelphia Police Department for 25 years until retiring to a life of leisure.
Throughout his retirement Joe spent time with his family, went hunting and golfed as often as he possibly could. You could also find him perusing any book store or aisle he could find, always searching for his next Sci-Fi adventure. He was a huge Eagles fan and would not hesitate to let you know it! Joe was loud, fun, and a force to be reckoned with, always putting a smile on the faces of his friends and family.

Joe is survived by his wife Candi, his three children Michael, Ryan-Marie, and Joey, and his grandson Mikey. He also leaves behind his siblings Kathleen, Peggy, Bob and Rose and a number of nieces and nephews. Joe is preceded in death by his sister Debbie

Please join the Garrison family after 3:00 pm Saturday, October 27th at Delaware Valley Cremation Center 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Joe’s life. The memorial tribute service will begin at 4:00 with time for refreshments and fellowship immediately afterwards, from around 4:30 until 6:30 pm, where Joe’s wife and family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support.
