Age: 79 of Philadelphia

Passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2020.

Joseph was the devoted husband of Dolores (nee Dlugosz) for 53 years; cherished father of Maria (Ed) Allen & Joseph (Lynn) Turanckas; adoring grandfather of Nicholas and Alexa-Marie, Shainalyn, and Joe; loving brother of Anita Lafferty.

Joseph enjoyed fishing, riding in his boat and spending time at the shore. He loved dinners on the deck with all his family while watching the sun set where he called it “the million-dollar view.” He was a diehard Eagles fan and you could find him in front of the TV on Sundays watching them. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. Joseph enjoyed taking care of all his cars. You could find him outside in the driveway washing, waxing, and shinning them all up. He was employed at Rohm and Haas for over 40 years as a shift foreman and an active board member.

Please join the Turanckas family at 6:00 pm Tuesday, February 18th at Delaware Valley Cremation Center 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Joseph’s life. The viewing will take place from 6:00 – 7:00 pm and the memorial tribute service will begin promptly at 7:00 with time for refreshments and fellowship immediately afterwards, from around 7:30 until 9:30 pm, where Joseph’s wife and family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support.
