Passed away peacefully on Monday, July 30th, 2018, at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. John was born to Patricia McKenna and John W. Kretzinger on November 20, 1955 and raised in Philadelphia, Pa.

Devoted spouse to Deborah Simpson; Loving father of John (Rachael) Kretzinger and Kevin Kretzinger; Cherished brother of Mary Kretzinger, Michael (Colleen) Kretzinger, and Ernie (Maryjo) Kretzinger. Adoring grandfather of Logan and Carter. Great Grandfather of Brayden, Mason, Jasper, Bradley and Dawson.

“Cactus Jack” was a very caring, loving and funny man. He always knew how to make someone smile or laugh. He loved his family very much and was always there for them. He enjoyed spending time with his two sons and just having a beer kicking back in the garage. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will truly be missed by many family members and friends.

John’s family will receive friends 9AM Saturday August 4th at St. Jerome’s Church, 8100 Colfax St # 1, Philadelphia, PA 19136, where his Memorial Service will immediately follow at 10AM. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in John’s name to the American Heart Association.
