Our mom Jeanne danced back into our father Pete’s arms early Tuesday morning. Her passing was at the very end; peaceful.
Born of Doris Julia & James E. Peo, toddler Jeanne’s bright red hair matched a fiery temper to the point that her parents wryly observed “Jeannie Pini’s taken over”.
Mom outgrew this phase & became the most patient, even tempered person anyone could know. She had to be, with four kids to raise & employed as a Willingboro Special Ed Teacher.
Jeanne graduated the University of Delaware where she met & married the love of her life–Clemens Peter, “Pete” to his friends. The match took & lasted 55 years.
Ever the social butterfly to Pete’s homebody persona, Jeanne loved the Theater, auctions, her aqua-cise buddies & trips to Jim Thorpe, PA to that lovely little sewing notions shop. Sewing was her go-to hobby. Jeanne never met a gadget she didn’t love.
Our mother took her final leave knowing the lessons she imparted to her family would serve them well. She is survived by her children Dave, Chris & wife Elaine, Steve; wife Ann-their children Matthew & Adam & Katie & husband Mark Demko & their children-Mark Jr. & Jessica.
A memorial service will be held on Oct. 28th, 2017, 10 am at Corpus Christie RC Church, 11 South Sunset Rd, Willingboro, NJ. Afterward, all are invited to a picnic in her honor at 12 Autumn Lane, Burlington NJ 08016. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053, or the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Charity.
