Glenn Seidel, age 63, left us too soon when he lost his two year battle with Lymphoma on February 17th, 2021 at home in Levittown, PA.
Born in Ipswich, England on December 9, 1957, to an Air Force family, Glenn was the first child of Pat & Paul Seidel. He has lived in Old Hunstanton; Marston Moretaine and Ardsley, England; Pittsburgh, PA; Montgomery, AL; Willingboro, NJ; San Antonio, TX; Dallas, TX; Upper Moreland, PA; and Levittown, PA.
He is the beloved husband of Carole Seidel. They dated for two years before sharing 33 years of marriage together living in Texas and Pennsylvania with several Golden Retrievers from Rescue. Glenn generously donated time with Carole assisting her with Golden Retriever Rescue runs to pick up or deliver dogs across the State of Texas. They shared their love of Goldens to build a happy life as a family of four.
He attended Texas A&M University for a brief period to learn the Spirit of Aggieland before transferring to Texas State Technical Institute in Waco for his Drafting and Design degree. He moved from San Antonio to Dallas in 1982 to start work for Texas Instruments as an AutoCad Operator for modular furniture, clean room design, vehicle fuel stations and roadway design.
When he moved from Texas to Pennsylvania, he worked for Johnson March Systems, Inc for the past 10 years learning water plant renovations, piping, tubing, industrial gas compressors, water sampling systems and chemical feed pumping systems.
Everyone loved and adored Glenn. His smile and laughter was engaging and contagious. He was always willing to lend a hand no matter what. Glenn was strong willed, yet a gentle giant with a wise cracking sense of humor. He was an amazing Husband, Father to our Furkids, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend to many.
Sports was always his passion in life to say the least, cheering on his favorite teams Texas A & M Aggies, Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Antonio Spurs, Ipswich Town F.C. (England) soccer team. He was able to attend many games of all his favorite teams. Glenn would talk all day with anyone about sports!!
He became a Steve Raichlen grilling enthusiast in Pennsylvania, much to Carole’s relief to get out of the kitchen. He labored for hours on end with marinades and rubs for whatever meats or vegetables he wanted to cook. You name it, he grilled it! He would enthusiastically answer any questions anyone had about grilling!
He is survived by his devoted wife Carole, Furkids Cody and Sheba; Father, Paul Seidel in Louisville; Sister, Beverley Weihe (Seidel), Brother-in-law Jerry Weihe; Sisters-in-law Bonnie Mc Grainer, Linda Peden, Cindy Peden, Denise Peden; Aunts Jean Santella, Janice Bricker, Rose Seidel, Maxine Seidel; Uncles Jim Seidel, Bill Seidel, John Billingham, Melvyn Billingham and Lee Bricker and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Glenn was preceded in death by his Mother Patricia (Billingham) Seidel and his Sister Tricia (Seidel) Godbey.
Following cremation, a true Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring when the weather is warm at Peace Valley Park to “safely” honor our warm, loving & funny Glenn.
