Gary lost his battle with ALS on October 16, 2019 at the age of 58. Son of Ruth and the late Joseph Williams. Father of Joseph Williams and the loving companion of his faithful friend Susan Laino.
Gary was born and raised in the Pennypack section of Philadelphia. He attended St. Dominic Catholic School until he transferred to the Milton Hershey School in Hershey, Pennsylvania where he was part of the honor society. Gary graduated in 1979 from the Milton Hershey School.
Gary was a talented carpenter, contractor and owner/operator of “Fix-it-Guy”.
Gary became part of Big Brothers of America. He became a big brother to Steve for over 20 years and their relationship still goes on.
Through Gary’s battle with ALS, he became a huge advocate to help the people living with ALS and their families.
Gary enjoyed his music and was an avid concert goer. He was a big Philadelphia sports fan. A faithful Eagles season ticket holder and a proud member of the “Pinhead 700 Club”.
Please wear your Eagles attire and come watch the game with “Gary’s Gang” after 6:30 pm Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136. The memorial tribute service will begin promptly at 7:30 pm with time for refreshments and fellowship immediately afterwards, from around 8:00 until 10:00, where Gary’s family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support.
