Francis J. Duffin, Jr., lifelong resident of Philadelphia, PA and career lithographer, passed away at the age of 93 on June 9, 2020. He passed peacefully at home, with family by his side.
Francis (Frank/Bud) is predeceased by his parents, Francis J. Duffin, Sr and Bridget (Beatrice) Duffin (nee Dooley), his loving wife of 44 years, Jane Duffin (nee Dougherty), his brother Jack Duffin, his sister Mary Morgan and her husband Lee Morgan, his brother- in – law Gerald (Bruz) Farrell and many beloved cousins.
Francis is survived by his children, Jane Goldstein (Howard); Matthew Duffin, Marybeth Torres (Victor) and Francis Duffin III. He is additionally survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren: Timree Williams (Jocelyn, Zoey), Laura Brown, Emily Brown Porter (Alex) (Xavier and Zachary); his sisters Irene Farrell and Diane Cichon; sister-in-law Marie Ryan Duffin, numerous in- laws and loving nieces and nephews. Francis is also survived by his companion of 23 years, Mary Gasparotti.
Francis was a graduate of Roman Catholic High School. Upon graduation he joined the USMC and served proudly in the Third Marine Division. Upon an honorable discharge, he started a lengthy and successful career in printing and was well regarded by his colleagues.
Francis enjoyed many happy years with his wife and family at his vacation home in Lake Hauto, PA and enjoyed hunting and fishing, reading and a good western.
Francis was a devoted son, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and great grandfather. He had a great sense of humor and was beloved by family, friends and neighbors. He will be greatly missed.
