Passed away on September 4, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.

Lifelong resident of Bridesburg. Son of the late Gerald and Elizabeth Smith. He is survived by his loving wife Claire (nee Shay); Devoted father of Kathleen Kelly, Diane (Joe) Izzi and Franny (Michele) Smith; Beloved pop of Brion, Anthony, Ian, Abigail, Joliana and Braydon; Dear brother to Rick and Don Smith.

Longtime employee and retiree of Rohm and Haas Bridesburg plant. His favorite past time was to frequent Home Depot and Lowes (several times a day so he would not miss a deal) to purchase items he didn’t need, just to give them away.

Please join the Smith family after 10:00 am Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Delaware Valley Cremation Center 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Francis’ life. The memorial tribute service will begin promptly at 11:00am with time for fellowship immediately afterwards, from around 11:30 until 1:00 pm, where Francis’ wife and family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support.
