Eugene Walczak, Jr. passed away suddenly and tragically on July 22nd, 2019 in his home. He was survived by his soulmate and wife Gloria Walczak (Sokolow); his loving and supportive parents Eugene Walczak Sr. and Loretta Walczak; his beloved siblings Joy (William) Porter, Gary Walczak and Lori Walczak; his only son who referred to him as his hero, Eugene Walczak, III. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Eugene retired from Bimbo Bakeries in 2017 after working there for 27 years (1990). He has built many life-long friendships at work and through various activities. Anyone that knew my father knew he was a kind, thoughtful and generous man. He would stop and help anyone, anywhere, regardless of who they were or if he even knew them. My father was full of smiles and the life of every party he walked into, and our family’s photographer. His favorite saying was “Thank you, it’s a free word, I can say it.” He was the greatest father I could ever ask for. He did so many things for me and our relationship was one of a kind.
Please join the Walczak family after 6:00 pm Monday, July 29th at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Eugene’s life. The memorial tribute service will begin promptly at 7:00 with time for refreshments and fellowship immediately afterwards, from around 7:15 until 9:30 pm, where Eugene’s wife and family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support. Donations can be made in Eugene’s memory to Tabby’s Place. Eugene volunteered his free time at ACCT Rescue; life-saving transports.
