Ethel “JoAn” Allen (née Hutchings) died peacefully on October 4, 2019 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the age of 88.

Ethel is survived by daughters, Della A. Crowell, Suquamish, WA; Laura J. Yaeger (Mark), Meadville, PA; Susan J. Bambino (Joe), Herndon, VA; Leslie M. Crowell (Garry Gray), Elkins Park, PA; Lisa D. Smith, Culpeper, VA; and LaShell M. Bell, Brunswick, MD; grandchildren, Jessie Yaeger, Neah Porraz, Laura Reeves, Kira Yaeger, Kacy Jane Reeves, Nicholas Bambino, Gabriella Bambino, Peyton Bell, and Phoebe Smith; great-grandchildren, Emma Horton, Mark Mally, and Elizabeth Bambino.

Ethel proudly served in the United States Navy and was a dedicated civilian employee of the United States federal government for many years.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Vitas Hospice Unit, Nazareth Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, and Manorcare Skilled Nursing, Huntingdon Valley, PA, for their kind and compassionate care.
