Catherine (Kay) LeBlanc, 78, passed away August 19, 2020 with her family by her side. Kay was born on September 18, 1941 in Philadelphia, PA to Peter and Catherine Corcoran. She married Daniel LeBlanc on October 22, 1960 and together they had 6 children.
“Aunt” Kay was a homemaker and was happiest in the company of children. She was an integral member of the neighborhood and was known for the love and generosity she showed to family, friends and neighbors. She was a skilled Scrabble player and the Canasta queen. Neighbors remember her as a coupon clipper, avid shopper, and the creator of elaborate snack trays for all the neighborhood children on hot summer days.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Donna, sons Daniel and Kevin and daughter Irene (Thomas) Orzechowski. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeffery (Miriam) Hale, Robert Villari, Richard (LeeAnne) Villari, Sean (Nicolette) McFeeters, Joseph (Meghan) Villari, Jessica (Ryan) Orzechowski, Natalie (Tyler) LeBlanc and Kathryn Orzechowski. She was a loving Nanny to eight great-grandchildren. Kay is also survived by her siblings, Peter Corcoran and Patricia Oxten and in-laws Ronald (Nancy) LeBlanc, Sandra Palmer, Sara (Ralph) Plechner as well as their children. If you asked her, she would also tell you that she is survived by her beloved cat, Otto.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel, her daughter Susan Villari, son Joseph and great-granddaughter Susan Ruth Villari.
Over the course of her life, Kay donated to many different charities. In lieu of flowers, we request donations to be made in her name to a local animal shelter or a homeless shelter.
Catherine LeBlanc will be sorely missed by all who knew her. We are not sure she truly knew the impact she had on so many lives and we thank you all for sharing your cherished memories of her over the past couple days.
“When I get where I’m going; There’ll be only happy tears; I will shed the sins and struggles I have carried all these years; And I’ll leave my heart wide open; I will love and have no fear; Yeah, When I get where I’m going; Don’t cry for me down here”
