Carlos Maldonado, age 70, passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 2nd, 2021 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico to Julio Maldonado and Lorenza Rivas.
Carlos Maldonado was happily married for 47 years. He fathered two sons whom he loved tremendously. He was a giving person and had a huge heart. His love of children brought him immense joy. He worked hard his whole life so that he could provide for his family. At the age of 60 he retired from work as a carpenter and took on a new job as fulltime “Papa”. He loved spoiling his grandkids every chance he could.
He is survived by his wife Esther Maldonado; his sons Jose and Esteban Maldonado; grandchildren Jalisa Maldonado, Julian Maldonado and Matthew Maldonado; great-grandson Nason Cartagena.
Carlos Maldonado will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed but never forgotten.
Due to Covid restrictions, Carlos’s service will be held privately for family on Friday, May 14th starting at 6:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136.
