Barbara went to be with her Lord at 4:44pm at Thomas Jefferson hospital on Monday June 10th, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was a beautiful blue eyed, blonde-haired young whipper snapper with a very comedic personality. She loved cracking jokes, singing along to the 80’s and punk rock music. She also excelled in math. Her son Stephen was the light of her life as well as her niece and nephews.

Barbara is proceeded in death by her grandparents Barbara and William Derr, her uncles William and Joseph Derr, and great grandmother Helen Saxton. Barbara leaves behind her son Stephen, parents Barbara A. Saxton (Derr) and Stephen Saxton, sister Stephanie Martin (Saxton) brother in law Tommy Martin, nephew/godson Lucas Martin, brother Robert Saxton, grandparents Marie and Bob Saxton as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, niece and nephews.

Please join the Saxton family after 6:00 pm Wednesday, June 19th at Delaware Valley Cremation Center 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Barbara’s life. The memorial tribute service will begin promptly at 7:00 with time for refreshments and fellowship immediately afterwards, from around 7:30 until 9:30 pm, where Barbara’s family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support. In lieu of flowers charitable donations may be made to Barbara’s son, Stephen Stokes.
