Andrea Cohen

Andrea Cohen, “Andi,” 67 of King of Prussia, PA passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020.
Born on October 24, 1952 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Simon Cohen & Edith Cohen (Simon).

She was a loving and devoted mother to Alexandra (Adrian) Scipione, Gabriella Totokotsopoulos & Marissa Totokotsopoulos and the beloved mom mom to granddaughter Edith Francesca, who she loved to the moon and back.

Andrea was a loyal and dedicated servant to her community. She worshipped the sun and spent many, many hours by the pool (where she earned her title as Pool Queen.) She also loved the beach and the ocean. She loved to travel and visited many places around the world. She was head of many PTAs and always signing up as a classroom parent. She was very involved with all school activities including the cheerleading boosters, music programs and crew. She loved her Hallmark movies, doing puzzles and was a water ice aficionado. Andrea enjoyed time going out to dinner with friends and being able to see and make memories with her family. She took great pride in helping to organize Cousins Clubs, parties for special occasions and special events. She received recognition from the American Red Cross for her tireless efforts in organizing 24 blood drives in 12 years and raising 577 units of blood. She was also a notary public.

Andrea was diagnosed with metastatic cancer of unknown origin in late October of 2018, she fought a valiant battle up until her very last minutes against what was later identified as stage four metastatic breast cancer. For over a year and a half she persevered through radiation, oral chemo treatments, injections as well as several hospital stays. Nevertheless, she always showed up ready to take on her treatments and her challenges.
Being the fighter that she was, she continued to help others who were also fighting cancer by helping with events for Bringing Hope Home and continuing her 10 year commitment to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, in which she helped to raise over $103,578 for childhood cancer. In July 2019, at the 10th Annual Stand, Andrea received an award for her outstanding service. Andrea participated in Light the Night this past October, a 2 mile walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In November, she was selected to be a model in the Ella Bella Fashion show- it was an amazing night that she was proud and honored to be a part of!

In addition to her children and grandchild, Andrea was loved and will be missed by many friends near and far, family members and an entire community.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to safely celebrate the life, courageous fight and many accomplishments of Andrea. We are hoping to set up a motorcade to bring Mom home. Dates to be announced.
