Alice A. Nanartowicz

Alice Anita Nanartowicz, 70, of Philadelphia passed away on March 28th, 2017 surrounded by close family.

Alice was born Philadelphia to the late Francis and Helen Jaster on March 23rd, 1947. She graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School in 1965. She married her husband of 47 years, Leonard Nanartowicz, on May 10th, 1969. Alice worked as a case worker for the State of Pennsylvania before dedicating herself to raising her children.

Alice is fondly remembered by everyone for her exuberant sense of humor that was contagious to those around her. She had the ability to make anyone laugh. Her generosity and care for her family was abundant and given without hesitation.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents Francis and Helen and nephew Nicholas Simonetti III.

Alice is survived by: her husband Leonard Nanartowicz; daughters, Allison McDonagh (Oliver), and Samantha Nanartowicz (Jeanelle Morgan); 3 grandchildren, Daisy, Molly, and Lucy McDonagh; her siblings, Michael Jaster (Deborah), Mary Carol Sweeney (Maurice), Margaret Jaster, Anne Jaster-Sosnowski (David), and Elizabeth Gallelli (James); and her loving nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service was held March 29th, 2017 at Delaware Valley Crematorium in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA).
