Kevin P. Rogers, 31, lifelong resident of the Somerton section of Philadelphia, passed away suddenly on Friday April 5, 2019.
Kevin Rogers, the beloved son of Sharon and (late) Gerard Rogers, the devoted brother to Jerry Rogers (Maria), Meghan McKeever (Kevin), and Amanda Scheurle (Keith), was also loving uncle to Jerry, Madison, Gavin, and Owen. He is survived by his girlfriend of many years, Lisa Mannion, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins and many friends.
Kevin was a friend to many people. Kevin was extremely devoted to his long term girlfriend, Lisa Mannion, who made a wonderfully positive impact on Kevin’s life and the life of his family and friends over the course of many years. Some of Kevin’s most special moments were spent certainly with his family, but specifically, many of his life’s milestones were spent with Lisa by his side.
Kevin served in the Pennsylvania National Guard and worked for the Philadelphia Gas Works. He loved Philadelphia sports teams especially the Eagles, Phillies and Sixers. Kevin was an amazing brother and uncle and loved to hang out with friends and family. Kevin played baseball, basketball and football and was a 2006 graduate of Archbishop Ryan High School.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing Wednesday, April 10th 6-8:30PM St. Anselm Church 12670 Dunks Ferry Rd. and a visitation Thursday 9:30-11AM. Kevin’s Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11AM, Thursday, April 11th at St. Anselm Church 12670 Dunks Ferry Rd. Phila. 19154. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
