Eugene R. Burns of Buckingham Springs, PA passed peacefully on February 25. He was 86. Beloved husband to Anita Burns of 62 years. Loving brother of Francis Burns, the late William Burns, Eileen Plunkett and Paul Burns (Claire). Devoted father of Suzanne, Eugene, Michael (Terry), Kathleen (Christine), Kevin (Wendy), Kellyanne (Manuel), and Kerry. Eleven beautiful grandchildren and one great-grandchild, lovingly called him Pop-pop, along with nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention, but all loved dearly.
Gene was an avid Notre Dame and Eagles fan, supporting all the Philadelphia teams. Even from his hospital bed he took great pleasure in watching his Eagles win the Super Bowl.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 2 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 5194 Cold Spring Creamery Road, Doylestown, PA. Visitation will be from 9am to 11am, mass to follow.
